Hello, I’m Wing Yeun 永苑—which means Forever Garden in Chinese. This name continues to unfold its meaning in my life, guiding my path. I never set out to become a teacher of seasonal wisdom and embodied practices; this path found me, gently like a garden awakening with the turning of the seasons.
Through Qigong, Facial Gua Sha and embodied practices, I support others in coming home to their bodies as living landscapes—something to be tended, nourished and deeply honoured.
These ancient Chinese practices hold a special place in my heart, not only for their profound healing power, but because they root me in a gentle connection to my parents and ancestral heritage. My work is a bridge between East and West—honouring the traditions of my heritage, while grounding them in accessible, modern-day practice.
I teach Qigong through the seasons because we are part of nature, not separate from it—when we align with the Qi energy of each season , we tap into nature’s rhythms, cultivate balance of body, mind and breath and support deep vitality, emotional clarity and holistic wellbeing as the seasons unfold.
Facial Gua Sha, in particular, is a practice I hold close—not only as a tool for vitality and natural radiance, but as a gentle ritual that reveals the story held in your face. It reflects your laughter, your grief, your resilience. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it has long been used to nourish the heart, calm the mind and restore balance to the body.
In a world that’s increasingly fast-paced and disconnected from nature, from community and from our own inner rhythms—it’s easy to feel ungrounded and overwhelmed. My mission is simple: to help guide you back to your true essence—to the breath, the body and to Mother Earth.

In this spirit, I’ll be offering a five phase seasonal workshop and this September, I’ll also begin sharing Qigong classes. In time I’ll also be holding retreats designed for deeper rest, renewal and connection.

When I’m not being you you may well find me teaching Yoga. I’m not only a space traveller but a space holder. It appears to be one of my super powers in this lifetime. That has been one constant throughout my life, maybe the only true constant. It took me a long time (in human terms) to find Yoga but when I did it wasn’t a case of studying it. It was part of me that I had forgotten, maybe even lost, and the latter would go a long way to explain the way I felt until we found each other again.
Part of me feels the need to say how many styles, and hrs, of Yoga I’m trained in but Yoga isn’t a certificate, it’s not talking in another language or standing on your head. It’s a way of life, a way of being. It is who we are not what we do. Yoga is union, it is the very essence of life, it is oneness.
I do my very best to lead, and live, from my heart and that is what you get from me. I love to give and I am here for you. I welcome you, with the others from the Acorn, with open arms and an open heart that we may find peace and courage in surrender together.
I’m embarking on a new journey working with men blending physical movement, breathwork, reflection and male archetypal psychology. Aiming to guide men out of hiding and into strength, clarity, and purpose to help them find their voice, their posture, and their power.

Fasting Coach
With over 20 years in the holistic health space, Sarah brings a wealth of experience rooted in cellular health, hormone harmony, and whole-body vitality.
As a certified Fast Like a Girl mentor, she specialises in supporting women — particularly through perimenopause and beyond — to use fasting as a powerful, sustainable tool to support energy, mood, metabolism and more. Her approach is grounded in nourishment and rhythm, helping women embrace fasting in harmony with their hormones in a way that feels supportive, flexible and deeply attuned to their body’s wisdom.
Sarah also draws on her background as a qualified corneotherapist and skin health therapist, taking an inside-out approach that connects nutrition, metabolic health, and skin function at a cellular level.
She offers private mentorship, as well as workshops and events hosted at The Acorn, where women can explore fasting, hormonal health, skin vitality, and everyday practices that support long-term wellbeing.
Owner & Founder
Katie created Acornwellness through her natural drive to support others. Her creativity was allowed to thrive; inspiring the design and development of the place itself. She loves being a central part of The Acorn and has found key interests and learning in Yoga, chakras, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Doterra Essential oils, wild swimming, herbal exploration and Whole Food Plant Based living. She is a Reiki practitioner and loves to include intuitive sound in her treatments.
IN 2024, Katie finally found the space and determination to hone in on her passion and trained as a cacao carrier alongside learning the harmonium and mantras. She now holds a ‘Sacred Sound Circle’ every 4-6 weeks and has collaborated with other team members to weave this magic into day retreats such as ‘The Sacred Pause’ and ‘Seasonal Elemental Retreats’.
Katie’s passion in supporting cancer patients has lead to the creation of the ‘whole soul retreat day’, a complementary day retreat for people on the cancer journey. She loves exploring wellness as a whole – mind, body and soul.
Having studied Whole Food Plant Based Living and received a nutrition certification for this, Katie loves to inspire others to make steps towards increasing plants within a balanced diet.
Katie loves welcoming people to this haven of healing and watching them flourish. She is grateful for the wonderful team of specialists around her that inspire her to grow every day.

Debbie has been a long term supporter of The Acorn from before the doors opened.
Having 20 years of experience in retail and a further two in health insurance, she brings a wonderful mix of warmth, enthusiasm and organisation.
Debbie is often referred to as the glue of The Acorn – holding us all together and allowing a cohesive flow through the events. She is also gifted at keeping The Acorn in order, working hard to keep everything looking welcoming, yet presentable.
In 2025, Debbie is embarking on a journey of training in counselling, a long term wish being fulfilled as she is a natural listener. She looks forward to giving you a warm welcome.

Tiffany is a highly qualified complimentary holistic therapist and reflexologist offering a range of wellness treatments to balance your mind, body, spirit and emotions.
Tiffany believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and works intuitively to assess your needs and create a bespoke therapy.
Therapeutic techniques are used as well as energy healing to reconnect your mind and body.
With 15 years experience in the hair and beauty industry and 3 years in the world of spa, Tiffany’s passion is healing and nurturing her guests.
Tiffany is available to offer treatments including Swedish body massage,hot stones massage, holistic facials,Indian head massage, facial reflexology, mikao usui second degree reiki (OKUDEN)
Her passion is restorative foot reflexology and loves to create treatments, weaving in the wonders of reflexology.
In 2023, Tiffany added sound therapy with singing bowls to her repertoire and now combines her fascination with astrology with the sound therapy to offer new moon and full moon ceremonies. She also offers this alongside Breathwork as a sound and breatwork workshop and woven into our ‘Sacred Pause Retreat’.

Sarah is a highly qualified Complementary Therapist who has followed her heart, developing her skills and qualifications in massage and Reiki, leading her to be a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Degree Master Practitioner, teacher and she is also a Reiki Drum Practitioner.
Sarah’s passions include crystals, which she likes to use intuitively with her treatments whenever possible to enhance the benefits of her treatments in balancing your mind, body, soul and spirit.
Sarah has trained with the Harrogate Natural Health School to enhance her skills and treatments in cancer and palliative care. She has achieved NHS Certification in the Complementary Therapists to graduate at the NHS Natural Health School, Harrogate and District Foundation NHS Trust at Sir Robert Ogden’s Macmillian centre in Harrogate.
Sarah has since trained in Daoyin Tao, a treatment she is very passionate about and loves to share.

Integrative Forest Therapy practitioner
Hello! My name is Helen O’Connor and I’m a Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) facilitator (certified by Integrative Breath) and Integrative Forest Therapist (certified by Nadur and ‘Mind’ Hillingdon). I work in Nidderdale – an area of outstanding natural beauty just outside of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. I am passionate about weaving in the science to support the beautiful wholeness of our journey through life.
I offer both in-person and online group and 1:1 sessions, including Conscious Connected Breathwork, forest therapy/forest bathing, and Compassion Focused Therapy. I love to weave together these modalities to create space for connecting deeply to what is within and around us in the present moment.

Julie is an experienced yoga teacher. Teaching a range of classes including Vinyasa Flow and Kundalini yoga. She also specialises in gong baths and yoga nidra which are so therapeutic and soothing.

My mind was a runaway train, I had no control over my thoughts and at times I couldn’t see the woods for the trees. I began as a yoga student in 2003/2004. With posture, breath and meditation I soon found the most valuable tool I could ever have imagined. My life changed completely after that. I found focus and a healthy way forward. I started to see my life as a journey and this excited me.’Jules holds yoga and sound retreats, overnight immersive self overnight retreats, cacao and gong sessions and one to one shamanic journeying. Jules holds yoga 9:30-10:30 every Monday and gong therapy 11-12.
Vegan chef
After a lightbulb moment whilst following a spiritual lifestyle I studied and graduated from The Natural Gourmet Cookery School, New York City in 1995. I then began as a Vegan Chef in NYC restaurants and following on from there as a Private Chef in NYC.
On returning to England 6 years later I set up a small catering business called TRUEFOOD, providing Wholefoods with a world cuisine influence. Following this I ran a bespoke vegetable juicing service called Sustain Juice’s which offered tailor made juices and detox plans to individuals looking for better health.
My firm belief is that what we put into our bodies determines our health, our well-being and the quality of our lives.
Using the philosophy of Food as a healing tool the dishes I create are wholefood, world palleted, seasonal, nutritionally and energetically balanced, organic and local wherever possible.
In following a yogic life, I believe through healing our selves and souls that we can heal the world and each other as one. Having followed a plant-based lifestyle since early adolesenceit came as no surprise that my education in nutrition, and food as healing came at the exact same time I began sinking into a lifelong practice of yoga and its philosophy’s.
To keep my mind, body and spirit alive I practice and have learnt the art of Kundalini energy & yoga, Four Winds Shamanism and Hindu studies, specially on the Bhvagad Gita.

Emma is a Chartered and Registered Psychologist with over 25 years experience, providing guests a nurturing opportunity to enhance and improve your mental wellbeing.
Offering a compassionate approach with a commitment to hope, Emma works with guests to identify their needs/ goals and then offers a safe therapeutic relationship in which to develop understanding, support positive change and “unfurl” from any life events which may have impacted on your mental and physical health.
Reflecting the connection between mind, body and nature, Emma’s work is tailored to each individual, often combining techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDr, Ecotherapy and Somatic Psychology.
As well as programmes of therapy, Emma also offers “walk and talk” sessions within grounds at The Acorn – for those guests who wish to do a brief reset, recharge or refocus on a specific issue.

Kay Turner has been teaching and working with children and adults in a pastoral and healing capacity since 1996. She graduated from Durham University with a BA (hons) First-Class in Theology in 1995 and went on to study a PGCE in Religious Education at York St John the following year.
She worked in Secondary Education as a teacher of RE, Psychology and Health and Social Care, a Curriculum Leader and a Sixth Form Head of Year between 1996 and 2016, apart from a short career break during which she gave birth to three children, completed a counselling qualification, MA in Theology and undertook volunteer pastoral work at a Healing Centre.
Kay is walking the Priestess Path and is an Advocate for Sacred Womanhood Growth. She works as a Body, Mind & Soul Evolution Practitioner working with clients individually, in addition to facilitating group workshops and retreats. As a Wellness, Sacred Feminine, Intuitive, Energy and Shamanic Mentor and Teacher Kay creates resources and online courses on these topics. As a lifelong learner, since 2016 Kay has qualified as a Wellbeing Coach, Yin Yoga Teacher, a Trainer and Advanced Practitioner in Energy Medicine, Mysticism and Shamanic Healing, completed a year Rose Lineage Priestess spiral and is currently training to be a Somatic Erotic Educator.

Yoga, cacao & Reiki
Beccy has been practising yoga for over 18 years. She found it so beneficial to the mind, body and soul that she embarked on a two year journey to further her knowledge and become a qualified teacher. Beccy enjoys teaching about feminine energy and holding a safe space for women to grow and develop themselves. She uses kundalini kriya and relaxing breath work – creating a space to feel nurtured.Beccy also offers drumming circles and sacred women circles.
Beccy is now a shamanic practitioner and brings these teachings into all her work.
Open water swim coach
Lucy is a Swimming Teacher and Open Water Swimming Coach who is passionate about the benefits of cold water for our physical and mental health.
She offers guided swims as part of retreats and holds a range of group swims in the local rivers. Often found in the river Nidd she is a year-round swimmer who loves being immersed in nature and held by the water.
Lucy has 20 years’ experience of working in targeted services with young people and young adults, she is a mentor and trainer who specialises in Mental Health and Safeguarding.
Her love of the water is infectious, she will hold space, make you feel safe and supported so you can experience the many rewards of wild swimming.
Medicinal Herbalist
Natalia is our expert herbalist and educator; passionate about promoting health and wellbeing.
Using the natural healing properties of herbs, she is wonderful at incorporating herbal medicine traditions from around the world. Based on the teaching that every one of us is created with our mental, physical and emotional spheres are interwoven and inseparable, she treats patients with this in mind.
Offering both one-to-one consultations to heal patients health and vitality and improve their lives and also workshops and courses. The workshops include plant medicine, self-healing and wellness.

Nutrition and Vitality Coach
Sara is a Nutrition and Vitality Coach.
“We are probably all familiar with the sayings from Hipoocrates: “let food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food” and “all disease begins in the gut”. What we put into our body is the foundation of our health. Sara believes that extends not only to the food we eat, but to everything we put in; be that our thought patterns, the way we deal with stress, how we interact with the world, the exercise we take, the things we do to relax and enjoy life…. Sara recognises that we are all unique and at different stages of our life’s journey, so what works for one person is not necessarily right for another.
Having embarked on a career in the “City” and quickly realising there must be more to life, as it made her ill, she returned to university and studied Nutritional Therapy at Westminster University. After a substantial career break and raising a family, Sara trained with John Ogden. John is a gifted practitioner and a Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy and Accupuncture and friend of the Acorn. Sara has gained her certificate in John’s Vitality Screening and now uses the “vitality screening” tool to assist in her Nutritional Therapy practice. Through doing the vitality screening, it takes a lot of the guesswork out of Nutritional Therapy and looks at the whole body as integrated systems working together to create the “whole”. Sara believes that by getting the foundations right, we can enjoy far better health of body, mind and spirit. She has been successful at treating people with a wide range of health issues. A keen cook and gardener, Sara will also help you to incorporate beneficial foods into your daily routine in a way that works for you. Sara has also studied iridology, done Reiki 1 & 2 and a Yoga Foundation Course, a keen learner, always curious to discover more. Her goal is to empower you to take the appropriate steps forward to better health and vitality.”

Based in Yorkshire, Katherine creates herbal remedies that are aimed to relax, release and re-balance on the healing journey.
